The Promise

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16

As I was traveling across the country in 1999 I came to San Diego, California. While in San Diego, California the Lord told me to go to the Ocean. At the end of the back road the Lord showed me to take, I came to cliffs overlooking the Ocean. A crowd was gathered there to observe the sunset. As I stood on the cliffs looking out over the ocean and thanking God for His Blessings, the sun began to set and the Lord began to speak to me as follows:

"Why do you think that I gave man the sunset?"

"I don't know."

"What do you think about it?"

"It is beautiful and glorious."

"What if you believed that it was the last one? If you knew that there would never be another, and that after it set, there would be only darkness and fear? What would you think then?"

"I would be terrified!"

"Then you know what my disciples felt when they stood looking up at me on the cross! I was the Light that came into the world to take away fear and to bring Salvation to man. I was with the Father in the beginning before anything was. I was that Light that separated the darkness. I am still that Light! If you know me and Love me, then you are in My Light. If you do not know Me nor Love Me then you are in darkness! I came in the beginning when God said, 'let there be light.' I was the one walking in the Garden of Eden, that Adam and his wife hid from. I was with Enoch and Noah. I was the one who talked with Abraham and I was the Ram that took the place of Isaac. I was with Jacob and I was the one who blessed him. I was in the burning bush and talked with Moses. I was in the cloud by day and the pillar of fire by night. I was with Joshua when he crossed the River Jordan. I made the water stand up and the riverbed dry. I did all of these things and more, yet no one knew me, nor who I was. Just as the sun when it comes up in the East, I came into this world in the form of man. Just as the day dawns, it's light barely seen, so I came into this world. When I was baptized by John in Jordan, it was noon. I let my light shine, so all could see. But few there were who had eyes to see! When I hung on the cross for the sins of the world and yes, even for your sins, I gave the world it's GREATEST SUNSET EVER! Those who loved darkness greater than light, cheered and were exceedingly glad, just as those who you see around you now. But My people who Loved The Light became faint of heart and feared that the light would be taken from them forever. I had given them My Promise, that I would return, but in their sorrow and fear they had forgotten what I said. They could not see the Beauty and Glory that was before them. They could only see that the light was gone and that darkness was going to overtake them. But just as I gave you fire to have light in the darkness till the sun rises again I have given you My Word! It is the Light that I give to guide you in this present darkness. It moves the darkness away, because darkness cannot have fellowship with light! If they had believed in their hearts that I would rise again, then they would have rejoiced at My crucifixion! To them it was a terror, but to My Father, a Glorious Sunset!"

Some two thousand years ago, Jesus Christ, son of the living God, came into the world. The world, which had been made by him, recognized him not. He walked a perfect sinless life. He healed the sick, raised the dead, cast out devils and did all manner of miracles yet we esteemed him not and instead of rejoicing in him as the messiah, the only begotten son of God, we beat him, spit upon him and hung him on a tree. That same Jesus died on that tree, was buried, spent three days and three nights imprisoned in the belly of the earth (hell) to pay the price for all of our sins - past, present and future. Upon the dawning of the third day, however, that same Jesus rose up from the dead and ascended into heaven where he applied his precious blood upon the altar of God to wash away all of our sins. That same Jesus is alive today and his hand is extended unto you if you will receive it.

Often during His ministry the people heard Jesus cry "He that hath ears to hear, let him hear." If you can "hear" the words of this testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ then do not delay. Confess your sins aloud to him right now. Ask him to wash away your sins and fulfill his promise to make his abode in your heart as your personal Lord and Saviour. The exact words are not critical, nor do you require any witnesses - the Lord is your witness - but confession must be made aloud with your mouth and you must believe in your heart that Jesus died for your sins and that God hath raised Him up from the dead to be saved.

If you haven't excepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior yet, I hope you will take the time to do so now.  I want you to know that we are here for you if you need us.  If you have excepted Jesus Christ as your Savior, you need to tell someone.  Won't you tell us?

You can contact us for any questions that you have or anything else.

God Bless,
Richard
